POSITION SUMMARY
This individual will be responsible for US international compliance and reporting for the Pictures business segment of Sony Corporation of America ("SCA"). The responsibilities include preparation and analysis of GILTI, Subpart F, §163j, withholding taxes, BEAT, PTEP calculations for 5471 reporting. In addition, this individual will be responsible for the IFRS tax provision for SCA foreign affiliates and ensuring that Sony is compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404. The position will report to the Director - International Tax Reporting and Compliance, SCA.
This position will be on a Hybrid Schedule with 2-3 days per week in the Culver City
office.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in review and analysis of income tax provision reporting for foreign subsidiaries in the Sony Corporation of America consolidated group (including subsidiaries in foreign joint ventures).Prepare, review and analyze key international tax compliance issues relating to Federal Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118, 5713, 8990 and 8992. Should have a strong understanding of E&P, Subpart F, GILTI, FTC and Section 861 expense allocation. Prepare and review required elections and disclosures such as check-the-box elections, DCL, GRA etc.Review and supervise preparation of supporting documentation of earnings and profits pool, FTC pool, PTEP and tax basis for all foreign subsidiaries.Research tax issues for planning and compliance purposes and draft memoranda to support and document conclusions and assist in review and analysis of transactions to determine any tax and reporting impact.Plan and communicate the level of dividends, monitor the payment of dividends, track and maintain previously tax earnings and profits, compute the impact of foreign exchange gains and losses of remitted and unremitted earnings for US tax accounting and compliance purposes.Assist tax controversy teams with international issues for Federal and state tax audits.Train, supervise, and guide the team in various compliance procedures, as well as US tax technical analysis. Educate cross-functional colleagues in tax concepts and issues relating to international tax compliance and reporting, to foster strong relationships with business partners and functional area experts of the company.QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include:

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $165,000 to $175,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
