Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Operations, the Clinical Research Manager will support the organization, coordination and implementation of clinical research and will manage all aspects of both Investigational new drug (IND) exempt and non-exempt clinical trials in accordance with local and federal regulations, GCP guidelines and internal standard operating procedures. Such management includes reviewing study protocols, designing and maintaining electronic data capture databases for new clinical trials, reviewing patient eligibility for clinical trials, data analysis and querying, monitoring studies at hospital sites, serving as a resource to hospital staff as applicable, and ensuring overall compliance to the trial protocol.
The Clinical Research Manager will also assist the Director and Assistant Director with special projects and ad-hoc tasks as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of clinical research experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of clinical research experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: Prior experience working on clinical research trials
Job Competencies
Knowledge of medical terminology required; Oncology terminology preferred
Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact with multiple constituencies
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications
Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail
Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to remain focused despite frequent interruptions
Ability to treat confidential information with utmost discretion
Possesses a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive campus community.
Incumbent must provide their own transportation between clinical sites to monitor site activities.
