Apply now - we can't wait to hear from you!We are seeking a general (OB/Gyn or Abd registered) sonographer, with some vascular exposure preferred. This role is located at our Methodist Hospital location in Indianapolis in our general ultrasound department. This will be a full-time day shift role, Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. Rotating on-call and one holiday required a year. Sign on bonus opportunity available!The Ultrasound Technologistworks in our general ultrasound department and performs outpatient/inpatient/ER exams including abdominal, OB/Gyn, small parts, procedures, and limited vascular assessments for radiological diagnosis, in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. This is just a few reasons why applying for your career with IU Health is a good choice.•Basic Life Support certification required.•May be required to be registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT).•Requires active status as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).•Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.•License from Indiana State Department of Health if applicable.
