Honeybee Robotics is looking for a Chief Mechanical Systems Engineer to design and build revolutionary motion control and actuation systems for the most thrilling aerospace applications!
Responsibilities:
Act as the senior-most technical expert across all Systems and Mechanical engineering programs at Honeybee Motion Control. Provide engineering leadership and mentoring to coordinate design, analysis, and systems engineering processes throughout development, verification, delivery and operation. Help define engineering processes, content requirements and templates, and deliverables standards. Assess and disposition aggregate technical risks across programs and technology development projects. Establish and maintain design review criteria, chair said reviews, and provide critical internal feedback to review teams. Lead critical FRB activities and drive the effective use of failure analysis techniques such as fault tree analysis, fishbone diagrams, 8D's, etc. Provide independent review of corrective actions for major failures at the program/product level and work with functional managers in addressing systemic issues. Facilitate technical trades and advise teams on solutions for flight and ground architectures. Develop engineering staff and provide senior level technical expertise and review. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum of 15 years of experience within the aerospace industry with new product development and sustaining support. Leadership experience in an aerospace development environment, especially with mechanical space systems and/or lunar technologies. Experience designing, deploying and supporting multiple complete flight systems or systems of similar complexity. Subject matter expertise in at least several of the following areas: mechanism design, bearing design and analysis, gearing design and analysis, electromechanical systems, servo systems, power transfer, solar array pointing systems, electro-optical gimbals, failure analysis Compensation and Benefits:

Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
