Overview:

The Mammography Technologist administers mammograms to patients and operates mammography equipment. Performs quality control on equipment to ensure viability of examination and maintains accreditation records, including tests. Performs pre-surgical needle localizations scans.The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology TechnologyActive certification in Radiology Technology (ARRT-R)Advanced certification in Mammography (ARRT-M) is required or must obtain within 18 months of date of hire / transfer.Current Florida State License in Radiology Technology.Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) through American Heart AssociationMust be able to multi task daily.Knowledge of filing systems, telephone etiquette and customer service.Computer skills, medical terminology
