Duties/Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities

Organize, rehouse, and maintain archival records and other documentation stored in the Study Center

Play an integral role in researching and identifying works for exhibitions and other research projects.

Compile results of research: bibliographies, annotated texts, summaries, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

Position Summary

This position supports the activities of the Pierre Daura Curator of European Art. This position will provide clerical, administrative and research support for the curator, as well as assist in all activities related to the development of this department. These activities include documenting, interpreting, and exhibiting the permanent collection and special exhibitions, in addition to documenting and researching the archival material in the Pierre Daura Study Center.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

• Master's degree preferred (in History, Art History, Literature, Museum Studies, or related degree)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

• Strong research skills• Good verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.• Good library and archive research skills.• Ability to work on multiple and diverse projects simultaneously.• Ability to perform original cataloging of English, French and Spanish-language items.• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
