What we're looking for:

Nexamp is seeking a Vice President to join the Project Finance team. This individual will have the opportunity for future growth and development amongst a group of high achieving professionals. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial mindset and have ambitions to accelerate the company's growth through their ability to lead and make informed business decisions. We are accepting candidates across our Boston or Chicago Headquarters, or New York Office, and support hybrid work.

What you'll do:

This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President, Capital Markets and will be responsible for the execution and performance of certain project financing initiatives, including, but not limited to:

Origination:

Originate and lead project finance deals (including but not limited to equity and debt financing, construction warehouse financing, etc.) to support the growth of Nexamp's distributed generation and utility-scale photovoltaic and battery storage portfolio.Develop marketing strategy, create marketing materials, and engage the market to solicit requests for proposals (RFPs) and ultimately secure capital partners.Utilize strong negotiation skills to broker competitive and favorable financing terms.

Relationship Management:

Manage existing relationships and cultivate new partnerships with a diverse set of financing partners and third-party advisors.

Market Analysis:

Anticipate how company, industry, and macroeconomic conditions will affect liquidity, interest rates, and access to capital markets.

Structuring:

Specialize in structuring acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and equity investments across distributed generation and utility-scale photovoltaic and battery storage assets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Perform crucial role in managing project level and portfolio risk including the monitoring of financial hurdles rates.Develop and manage cross-functional deal teams including but not limited to Business Development, Finance, Legal, Construction, Policy, etc. to ensure efficient processes.

Leadership and Reporting:

Manage multiple workflows and internal/external relationships through delegation and oversight of junior team members.Build and manage timelines for various internal and external parties to ensure on-time deliverables.Effectively communicate and present findings to senior management and existing investors.Support senior management and the FP&A team with financial planning and analysis.Represent the Company with the highest level of professionalism to investors, partners, and advisors.

What you'll bring:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field required.10+ years of relevant project finance experience executing transactions within the power, renewables, construction, or infrastructure sectors.Project finance debt, private equity, and/or tax equity deal execution experience.Experience leading project finance capital raise transactions and managing a deal team of project finance professionals across experience levels.Experience managing a team, creating a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous learning.Ability to travel up to 20% required to visit conferences, investors and network.A strong network of investor relationships.Expertise in MS Excel and high proficiency with other MS Office products.Ability to clearly communicate complicated and technical points, both verbally and in writing.Excellent interpersonal skills; able to collaborate within the Project Finance team and cross-functionally.Team player who can collaborate in developing strategies and provide forward thinking solutionsExperience presenting to and working with senior leadership and influencing decision makingMBA or CFA preferred but not requiredProficient in quantitative analytics and experience with Python, SQL, C#, Java, .NET, and VBA preferred, but not requiredDemonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organizationExperience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. Compensation

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Nexamp ranges from $175,000 - $225,000. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual bonus programs based on individual and company performance, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans). Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in the Company's stock option plan. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but is not limited to, skills and qualifications, internal equity, performance, and geographic location.
