The

Lead Credit Risk Analyst

will play an integral role by performing advanced analysis, identifying risks to the organization, and monitoring compliance to risk policies. In this role you will make recommendations to senior management in implementing and administering management programs. You will be the subject matter expert in all phases of the credit life cycle, working closely with our Marketing, Decision Sciences, Forecasting and Credit Implementation teams to support our growing suite of credit products. Additionally, you will drive key efforts including reporting automation and process improvement, control execution, and may support other analysis or initiatives. Mentoring skills, innovation, and the proven ability to foster a culture of strong collaboration with business partners will be critical success factors.

This role is based out of our

Eden Prairie, MN

head office within our hybrid environment that has team members come into the office 3 days a week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and implement complex account management or acquisition strategies using innovative methodologies that continue to enhance the new credit and pricing strategies to drive user growth and engagementIdentify and manage the risk/return trade-offs in the subprime space, design and monitor champion/challenger performance, monitor custom scorecards, update segmentation, investigate additional benefits of alternative data sources/scorecards and perform ad-hoc analysis as neededMonitor portfolio as well as macroeconomic trends impacting loan performance, drive adjustments to our underwriting and marketing strategies to mitigate riskPartners with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, available in a timely manner, updated as part of new initiatives, understood by other interested parties and can be extracted/analyzed quickly, while working to remediate any issues that ariseWorking with external partners to explore different data options from outside sourcesLeverage advanced data analytics to derive insights and optimize credit strategiesProactively work with external data sources and third-party data provider to evaluate new scores, lead the development of new custom models and workEstablish strong relationships with internal stakeholders and influence leaders where change needs to support new business policies and strategiesMentor, coach and develop more junior level team membersLeverage SQL/SAS to pull data and analyze resultsOther duties or responsibilities as assignedRequired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or business field (Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, etc.) or High School Diploma with 9+ years industry experience5+ years' experience with SAS or similar programming language5+ years' experience in an analytics/modeling/reporting roleAdvanced knowledge of decision trees and ExcelPreferred Qualifications:

Master's degree or CFAExperience in credit risk or financial services industriesExposure to SQLExtensive experience with large data sets aggregated from multiple sources; enthusiasm for working on technically complex analysisDemonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across different teams in the organizationExperience leading, motivating and developing team membersStrong written and verbal communication skills; ability to summarize and communicate results from complex analysis clearly; experience presenting to senior leadership or non-technical audienceAnalytical and results oriented, independent thinker and strong problem solverExperience analyzing and interpreting rules, regulations and policies
