Tarkett has a great opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer in our Middlefield, Ohio Manufacturing Plant.Tarkett is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to drive improvements in productivity, quality (internal and external), safety and standardization. This position will lead cross functional process improvement teams and projects in order to meet timelines and project goals, provide technical expertise to internal and external customers and own process definition in the plant and drive initiatives to improve process control. The Manufacturing Engineer will also engage with operations to identify opportunities to improve and collaborate with maintenance to provide a safe and efficient production environment. This role will be located in Middlefield, Ohio.What this role will be responsible for:Support process ownership initiatives on the engineering team and within the production operationLead process improvement initiatives that improve productivity, quality, and standardizationIntegration and documentation of engineered solutions supporting a WCM environmentDevelop solutions to support ongoing manufacturing and equipment safety initiativesLead cross functional process improvement teams and projects in order to meet timelines and project goalsProvide technical expertise to internal and external customersInitiate corrective action to address production deficiencies that impact the ability to meet customer needsCollaborate cross functionally with technical and production team to ensure that the production process aligns with the specified production outputsProviding and maintaining a safe working environment and encouraging safe work practicesLead the implementation and definition of best practices, standard work, and process controlsCollaborate with Maintenance to provide a safe and efficient production environmentExperience & Education Desired:Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in engineeringEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related disciplineExperience in rubber/plastic manufacturing would be preferredProven development and implementation of process control proceduresDemonstrated ability to develop solutions to manufacturing problemsDemonstrated strong computer skills including 2D/3D CAD, AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks as well as Microsoft OfficeExperience with lean manufacturing or six sigma preferredWhat We OfferA commitment that Safety is #1Competitive benefits, pay, and retirement plan options!Career growth, stability, and flexible work arrangements.Responsible Manufacturing - Protecting Our Planet for the FutureWe utilize renewable energy and a closed loop recycled water process.We are committed to reducing greenhouse emissions and water consumption.We are the only flooring company recognized by the Asthma and Allergy foundation.Who we are:With a history of 140 years, Tarkett is a worldwide leader in innovative flooring and sport surface solutions with 12,000 employees and 34 industrial sites.
