Controller

Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with standard accounting guidelines and company requirementsAssist with budget preparations and ensure adherence to budgetary controls across all aspects of the general ledger, with a strong emphasis towards job-cost controls inherent with the construction industryPerform quarterly/monthly/annual/periodic audits, ensuring compliance with both internal controls and external accounting standardsCreate necessary journal entries, including amortization, depreciation, and inventory adjustments and allocations, in order to provide accurate and meaningful accounting perspectivesManage multiple inter-company ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations and related journal transactionsPerform and manage all aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual financial closing processesWork closely with other departmental personnel regarding various elements of AR, AP, credit cards, and payroll* (Note: This is not a payroll processing or HR position; however, some overlap occurs as it pertains to audits, payroll taxes, and related functions)Assist company owner and other company departments in ad-hoc projects and information/reporting requests, as neededOversee and ensure the general financial integrity of all areas of accounting operations throughout the companyAssist with managing key external relationships with various banks, vendors, and customersto validate proper processes are being followed
