Folder Gluer Technician
to join our team at MedLit Solutions in Garner, NC. The operator must be able to set up and operate the Folder Gluer machines. This position will be a part of our 1st shift running three, twelve hour days.Responsibilities:Responsible for setting up and production running of Folder/GluerMachine knowledge including feeder, glue systems, delivery, and bar code readersExperience with both straight line and auto lock boxesAbility to read customer specifications, job tickets and follow standard operating proceduresSet up and fine tuning of equipment to reduce stops during operationSet up, adjust and repair equipment as needed for smooth and trouble-free operationInspect working parts and be able to recognize those that need replacementPerform Quality Checks and maintain optimum quality at all timesPerform Line Clearance - Clean assigned area by removing all product from line, trash, boxes, and other supplies associated with a completed orderShifts include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work overtime is required. Shift schedules may vary depending on workload. No shifts are guaranteedSuccessful candidates must be able to perform the following: lift 50 pounds continuously, stand long hours, use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement, receive and follow instructions and use vision in order to identify defects with or without reasonable accommodationBe responsible for general maintenance and lubrication of machineAssist with housekeeping in the bindery areaBe thoroughly familiar with all areas of finishingFollows all required safety procedures such as: PPE's, Ergonomics, Chemical Hazards, etc.Performs job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employeesAbility to Multi-Task and prioritize tasksGood verbal and written comprehensionWork independently with minimal supervision and the ability to thrive in a team environmentThe ability to perform basic math calculationsMaintain production charts and recordsTrain new employeesGive direction to machine crew through production and down timeAct as a technical resource to other departments and co-workers to address and resolve inquiries and problems.Qualifications:
Five years or more of Folder Gluer Operator experienceCommunication skillsAdministration skillsLeadership abilitiesPossess a strong work ethicDesire to work additional hours (overtime)High School diploma or GED requiredMechanical/technical aptitudeEntry Level Computer skills
