A reputable CPA firm that specializes in public accounting is seeking a Tax Manager to join them in a hybrid position based out of Kirkland, WA! This exciting position offers you the chance to work 3 days onsite and 2 days from home, at a firm that will keep you on your toes where no two days are ever the same. They are looking for an experienced CPA with at least 10 years of senior-level tax experience to handle complex individual and corporate tax returns, especially involving trusts and estates. Salary Range:
$125,000 - $165,000 / year DOE
Tax Manager Requirements:
CPA certification required (EA and JD are a plus)10+ years of experience in public accounting at a senior level, including preparing federal and state tax returns for businesses and individualsMust have supervisory experienceStrong client-facing and communication skillsProficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and macrosFamiliarity with State and Local Tax (SALT) and multistate tax regulationsExperience in trust and estate work preferredKnowledge of international tax is a plusDiverse experience in tax returns and bookkeeping/accounting, including full cycle accounting and journal entriesReviewing experience highly preferredTax Manager Responsibilities:
Supervise and oversee the work of three staff membersPrepare and review federal and state tax returns for businesses and individualsHandle complex individual and corporate tax returns, trusts, and estatesProvide expertise in individual, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation conceptsAnalyze and plan for complex transactions such as buy/sell agreements and mergersCollaborate with clients, attorneys, and financial advisors, bringing strong expertiseLead training sessions in the office and mentor staffServe as a resource for questions on highly complex tax returns and issuesWork directly with clients to provide excellent service and adviceTake on a portfolio of around 200 clientsBenefits:
