As a Forvis Mazars Tax Senior, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop a team in tax, while also providing an unmatched client experience. If you have experience with tax advisory services, tax compliance, and tax provision to a diversified client base, this is the position for you!
How you will contribute:Provide tax compliance and advisory services to clients in the investment management industry including, but not limited to: hedge funds, private equity funds, and energy fundsHelp develop, build, and manage client relationshipsAssist in managing, developing, and coaching professional tax personnelReview returns prepared by tax staffEffectively delegate responsibilities, monitoring efforts of engagement teamsResearch complex tax issues, apply findings to projects, and clearly communicate those findings in writing to the clientMaintain frequent communication with client management/personnel and consistently sell additional services provided by the firmHave a disciplined approach that is reasonably successful in attracting new clients and developing referral sourcesWe are looking for people with Forward Vision and:
Extensive technical tax and accounting knowledgeHigh-level analytical and reasoning skillsAbility to work efficiently under pressure and against client deadlinesEffective verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail without losing sight of the big pictureExperience managing multiple client engagementsExcellent client relationship and time management skillsMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited college/university1-5 years of relevant tax experience providing tax compliance and advisory services in public accounting or with a professional services or consulting firmCPA license or have secured the educational requirements to satisfy the 150-credit hour requirement necessary to obtain a CPA license.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience providing tax compliance and advisory services within the investment management industry (i.e. hedge funds, private equity funds, energy funds, real estate funds, fund of funds)Partnership taxationProficiency with MS Office suite- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
