UMMARY : As the Sr Director of Pharmacy Innovation, you are responsible for leading and overseeing the development and implementation of key strategic and operational initiatives within the pharmacy. Your role involves managing proprietary software infrastructure, expanding big data initiatives, and resolving ongoing pharmacy obstacles. This involves working closely with VP of IT and the development/data departments to help identify trends and potential issues, devise solutions and assist in creating implementation strategies while driving projects to completion. You also are responsible for helping ensure the alignment between the pharmacy's operational/strategic goals and technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Software Infrastructure Development:
Integral in forming the vision for the pharmacy's proprietary software infrastructure. Taking a hands-on approach when needed. Ensuring the software infrastructure aligns with the pharmacy's strategic objectives and operational needs.
Big Data Initiatives:
Overseeing the continued implementation and expansion of key big data initiatives. Providing leadership in architecture, procedural, and strategy development for big data projects. Ensuring data initiatives support the pharmacy's goals and improve decision- making processes.
Problem Solving and Implementation:
Developing and maintaining a list of ongoing pharmacy issues. Assisting operational and technology staff to devise and implement innovative solutions. Overseeing the implementation of these solutions, leveraging resources from other departments as needed. Ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.
Stakeholder Communication:
Presenting solutions to key stakeholders, providing clear timelines and technical implementation plans. Communicating effectively with various departments to ensure understanding and collaboration. Preparing detailed reports and presentations for executive leadership and other stakeholders.
Operational and Technological Assistance: Assisting in the pharmacy's operations and technology efforts where additional support is required. Collaborating with various teams to address operational challenges and optimize technology use. Providing expert advice and hands-on assistance in critical situations. Additional Responsibilities:
Driving innovation and continuous improvement in pharmacy processes and technology. Staying updated with industry trends and advancements to recommend and implement best practices. Collaborating with and helping lead cross-functional teams to execute special projects and initiatives. Mentoring and developing staff to build a high-performance team. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies. Managing budgets and resources effectively to maximize project outcomes

EQUIREMENTS

2+ years of experience in Specialty Infusion Pharmacy environment with focus on technology. Strong ability to use data/tech to identify operational issues and create solutions. Ability to present and interpret data to assist in both training and informing pharmacy leadership. Ability to communicate effectively with internal staff of all levels as well as outside vendors. Broad development and data management experience is preferred. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
