In partnership with the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager leads and develops the team, delivers operational excellence, drives the achievement of sales results, and ensures that the highest level of client experience is always delivered.Job ResponsibilitiesTeam Management & DevelopmentMotivate and support the team so that they perform at their highest level to meet their individual and store objectivesSupport the Store Manager in the in-store training routine and on-boarding of new hiresAssume the role of Store Manager in the absence of the Store Manager in accordance with Company operating standardsSupervise store personnel and enforce company policiesIdentify, recruit and develop talents in collaboration with the Store ManagerManage and motivate the team to drive business: create a positive and harmonious work environment and foster cooperation within the teamProactively assess and manage performance of the teamAct as a role model demonstrating sales leadership to the team by supporting them with Customer Journey, selling ceremony, client retention and fostering cross sellingEnsure policies, brand standards and grooming guidelines are communicated and implementedClient and Business ManagementBuild and maintain client books; meeting sales objectivesManage quality of customer service to meet customer expectationsHelp to develop action plans to improve Mystery Shopper ResultsImplement appropriate CRM tools and develop loyal clientsBe aware of market trends and give feedback to Store ManagerSupport the team in building long term client relationships, leveraging the clienteling toolsEstablish a client-centric mindset in store to ensure the highest level of client experience and proactively handle any situation that may arisePartner with Store Manager to communicate and inspire the team on corporate strategy and relevant business operationsImplement action plans to help support Store Manager to help boost business and maximize product performance, leveraging visual merchandise, clienteling, training and team workVisual MerchandisingWork with the Visual Merchandising Ambassador to ensure Visual Merchandising is consistent with Company standards; periodically align visual merchandising and sales performanceInventory ManagementEnsure that merchandise is properly managed, displayed, stored and maintained by teamSupport Store Manager in maintaining inventory accuracy and shrink rates within company standards, such as making sure cycle count procedures are completed as per guidelinesEnsure opening/closing counting duties are completed as requiredRetail PerformanceEnsure proper procedures are being met regarding cash, credit card and check processingControl petty cash is in accordance with company policy and procedureSupport Store Manager in ensuring Top Store standards are being implemented and metAssist Store Manager in morning briefs as needed**Additional information:**QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 5 years leadership experience in retail preferredMinimum 3 years luxury experience preferredStrong drive for results; goal orientedExcellent interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingAbility to use POS system and its inventory management functionsRTW experience preferredForeign language skill is a plusAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to lift boxes / weight up to 10lbsBachelors Degree or equivalent experience a plusOrganizational and strong computer skills requiredFlexible availability, some nights, weekends, and holidays.
