A. Duie Pyle is looking for an experienced, Fleet Maintenance Shop Supervisor to join our Fleet Maintenance Department at our Newburgh, NY shop. Our promise is to provide outstanding service as it remains to be our first and foremost mission.Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Monitoring and coordinating daily work schedules; monitoring Technician's daily productivity and prioritized distribution of work flow between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shiftsOverseeing maintenance of all company-owned equipment in the fleet including but not limited to Tractor Trailers, Heavy Duty Trucks and ForkliftsPerforming quality repair audits ensuring standardization and excellenceCounseling employees about work related issues and provide guidanceMaintaining a safe and clean working environment for all employees ensuring OSHA standards are metEnsuring timely preventive/predictive maintenance is performedEffectively managing road calls to minimize driver downtimeCommunicating with Operations Leadership to ensure all equipment requirements are fulfilledOverseeing parts / stock room inventory and parts ordering on a daily basisEnsuring proper filing and archiving of shop-related documentationYour Benefits will include:Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance8 paid annual holidays - in addition to vacation and personal time off401(k) with company matchPaid Weekly via Direct DepositPaid Vacation and Personal TimeAnnual Tool Allowance ProgramAnnual, continual trainingUniforms ProvidedTo be successful in this role you will need to have the following:Possess 3 - 5 years of experience in Class 8 truck repairs including electronic diesel engine repair and air brake systemsHigh School Diploma or equivalentExcellent working knowledge of all heavy-duty truck and material handling equipment systems with proven diagnostic / troubleshooting skills setValid driver's license (CDL) preferredProven interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with shop technicians and Operations ManagementExcellent record-keeping and organizational skillsAbility to work all shifts as necessaryWant a look under the hood?
