Sales Director

to join our Sales team.

As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will:

The Sales Director is responsible for developing new production programs for the Confluent Medical portfolio. The Sales Director will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, developing proposals and then closing new production opportunities. The Sales Director will be responsible for ensuring that the production opportunities are aligned with the Confluent Medical strategic plans, core capabilities and achieve profitability goals. Additional responsibilities include maintaining an account profile of customer information, learning potential customer's development pipelines, keeping business tasks organized, developing business proposals, expense management, supply agreement negotiation, trade shows and customer support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Execute plans to achieve assigned goals and objectives; primary tasks will support the overall Confluent Medical business strategyAbility to communicate and execute a new opportunity process that includes(1) Prospecting(2) Qualifying(3) Solution development(4) Negotiation and(5) Program closingas well as the ability to clearly identify(1) Opportunities(2) Sales Goals(3) Activities to achieve goals and(4) Close sales goals.

Execute marketing strategiesControl expenses within budgetCan effectively work in a position where compensation is directly based on personal sales goal achievement

Customer KnowledgeUnderstands the customer's business model and strategiesUnderstands the customer's organization, functions, processes and key decision makersUnderstands the related customer problems, challenges and opportunitiesHas the ability to understand customer needs and opportunities without being directly asked or requested by the customerSelling Skills and Sales ProcessCan effectively manages a sales call: opening, probing, supporting, closing, indifference and resolving concernsIdentify, establish and maintain productive relationships with key decision makers as well as front-line purchasing personnelPlan and implement effective sales/product presentations. Ability to present the Confluent Medical capabilities.Effectively manages a sales process: prospecting, qualifying, prioritizing opportunities, and aligning activities to achieve key-goalsCan perform a financial and analytical analysis in order to understand the financial impact of a proposal and project business case, taking into consideration factors such as market risk, market adoption, product costs and volumes.Representative at industry conferences

Product KnowledgeUnderstands the basic features and benefits of the product and competitive products we produce and that our customers consider having us manufactureIs familiar with the product applications and how the product integrates into a customer solutionUnderstands how to call upon internal Confluent Medical resources for appropriate customer servicesRecognize and understand competitive products, features, strengths in relation to the company's productsDevelop and maintain comprehensive clinical and technical knowledge

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE required:EducationBachelor's Degree required with a technical degree preferredJob Experience5 plus years' CDMO sales / sales management experience with medical devices

Direct prior experience and relationships within the assigned customer accountsDemonstrated success in previous sales role; indicating a high level of sales performanceTeaching and educating customers on product and technically relevant informationComputer proficiencyAbility to travel 50% of the time
