POSTION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead team responsible for freight, MRO supplies, equipment, packaging, utilities and services to maintain operations at US Production facilities.Manages development and execution of Procurement processes in line with established metricsDelivers cost reduction in managed spend categories by actively pursuing cost reduction opportunities and negotiating with suppliersDevelops contracts and service agreements with suppliers, ensures supply base delivers to the expected service levels and KPIs definedCollaborates with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve issuesLocates, qualifies, and establishes a network of vendors to supply materials and servicesLeads SAP and Business process improvement initiatives impacting managed spend areasPrepares bid requests and reviews supply quotations.Leads Procurement projects and participates in cross-functional projects as assigned.Communicates effectively with suppliers, stakeholders, and leadership.Coach and Mentor direct reports, and other Procurement team members.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Purchasing of Indirect Spend categories in a mid-large size organization (required)At least 3 years of experience with managing global freight and transportation (required)Bachelors' degree in business or related (required), MBA (desired)CPM or CSCP certification (desired)Chemical industry background (desired)
