I'm partnered with the CFO at a million dollar manufacturing organization located in Bedford Park, IL. This client is a market leader in their space and is looking to expand their company by growing into new industries. With exciting new products set to launch in the near future, it is the perfect time to join as the Controller!

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing the organizations plant locations, processing payroll, analyzing financial information, spotting errors, recommending system improvements, managing staff, and assisting with audits. The Controller is a key member of the plant leadership team and offers high visibility within the company.

Job Description

Controller Responsibilities:

Manage plant accounting departmentCoordinate month, quarter, and year-end closing processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reportingProduce financial statements and budgetsAssist in processing weekly payrollPrepare accurate and timely financial statementsImplement and maintain internal controls to safeguard inventory assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Direct internal and external audits and reviewsManage the end-to-end payroll processesLead and develop a high-performing accounting team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunitiesReview and recommend modifications to accounting systems and proceduresMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant

The Successfull Controller will have:

Experience within the manufacturing industryBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA or MBA a plusProven experience as a ControllerStrong cost experienceManagement experienceAbility to effectively communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levelsExceptional leadership abilities and a track record of building and managing high-performing teamsWhat's on Offer
