All qualified applicants will receiveconsideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation,gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, or disability status.Description:Markon looking for an experienced mid-level quality assurance inspector with extensive expertise in theconstruction industry to provide Owner's Representative construction management services to a DoDclient.Responsibilities:•Provides quality assurance inspections as part of the Quality Assurance program.•Possesses working knowledge in their field and in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) 3-Phases of Control.•Proactively assists the Government in conducting site evaluations, field surveys, and site visits todetermine constructability and code compliance. Assists estimators and project managers in theplanning and estimating of future construction projects.•Will be responsible for insuring construction contractor implements effective QualityManagement processes to control and deliver quality work that complies with project design,specifications, and contract documents.•Must have the knowledge, training, and/or experience to define, research, understand, andrecognize quality construction work in structural concrete, foundation bearing soils preparation,mechanical systems, and interior finishes.•Ability to research design specifications, codes, drawings, product information, etc. to beprepared for inspections and preparatory meetings.•Must have the personality and interpersonal skills to work respectfully and communicateconfidently with construction contractors about the practical mechanics of construction trades.•Must be able to write and prepare daily QA reports to document field observations, takeeffective pictures, and use computer/IPad technologies. Regularly prepares and presentsproject status briefings, develops and maintains performance matrixes, prepares well-written

technical reports. Prepares written and oral reports to Government leadership and programmanagers.•Position requires primarily work in the field, exposed to various weather conditions, and theability to traverse unimproved terrain.•Must be willing to work 25% of time outside normal duty hours to include during nights,weekends, and holidays as needed to observe contractor work. Overtime may be required onspecific projects.•Must be able to work independently and as part of an Integrated Project Team to deliver for theclient as the Owner's Representative.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Job RequirementsRequired:•BS in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management with 5+ years of constructionexperienceor10+ years of relevant construction management technical experience with a current U.S. ArmyCorps of Engineers (USACE) or U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC)Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification.•Must be a U.S. Citizen.•Must be able to pass and maintain a Public Trust clearance (HSPD-12 fingerprint backgroundcheck).
