People Operations Generalist Duties:
Administers and educates People Operations policies, programs, and practices across dedicated for our dedicated marketsManage the onboarding experience for new employees, working in collaboration with other areas, such as IT, Operations, People Operations, Training & Education, etc. to ensure the best employee experienceEstablish partnerships and consult with key business stakeholders and People Operations team members to foster teamwork, collaboration, and learning within the HR team, contributing to a positive work environmentSupport change management initiatives by drafting communications, identifying potential barriers, seeking input from impacted stakeholders, and coaching leadersWorks with People Operations Business partners and Operations leadership to diagnose supervisor skill gaps and identify possible training solutionsPartners alongside management to address and assess performance management including coaching, counseling, career progression, reviews, performance improvement plans and corrective action administrationSupports recruitment initiatives including recommending advertisement strategies, interviewing candidates, and coordination of employee communications and events for recruitment effortsCreates training plans for both People Operations and non-People Operations systems and functions (including Workday, Deputy, NinthBrain, PerformYard, etc.), working with managers to develop training programs for job specific roles, etc.Serves a pivotal point of contact for employees, researching and resolving payroll issues, benefit inquiries, employment verifications and providing general employee customer supportPerforms monthly audits of new hire data/access to ensure employees are properly set-up in Company systems; works closely with Payroll and Corporate HRIS team to address any issues in onboarding occurring in Company HRIS or in system provisioningAssists with the facilitation of new hire orientation and ensures required training is completed by employeesManages the maintenance of personnel/medical files, E-Verify administration, background, drug screening, and DMV adjudication review proceduresAssists with Workers Compensation, disability, and Leave of Absence AdministrationPrepares all necessary termination paperwork and ensures exit interviews are conducted for voluntary departures from the organizationCulture Change Agents assessing employee satisfaction, engagement and working with management on developing action plans based on feedbackConducts focus groups, retention initiatives, reward & recognition programs and employee engagement initiativesEnsures compliance with federal, state. and local labor laws to reduce potential for litigationInvestigates any Employee Relations issues, employee complaints, and workplace issues while ensuring HR Compliance in accordance with Employment Laws and Workplace SafetyUndertakes special projects as directed
People Operations Generalist Requirements:
A minimum of 3-5 years Human Resources experience preferably as an HR Coordinator, Specialist, or in a similar roleMust have a minimum education level of: BA/BS degree (4 year)HR Certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) preferredProficient in MS Office and HRIS systems (Workday strongly preferred)Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skillsQualifications:
Experience building solid relationships with Leaders at all levelsOutstanding ability to manage relationships and balance customer, project, organization and team needs to ensure mutually beneficial outcomesDemonstrated ability to manipulate and analyze data and to present information in a way that allows leaders to make decisionsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision, and in team environmentMust be well organized, able to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and follow through on commitmentsMust handle confidential matters with appropriate discretionAbility to perform well in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
