The Senior Manager of SEC Reporting will provide leadership for Saluda's external reporting function. This position will be responsible for providing technical accounting support to senior management, including evaluating accounting, financial implications of complex transactions, and supporting conclusions. The position will collaborate cross-functional teams for the end-to-end process in producing the consolidated financial statements and related disclosures as required by U.S. GAAP and the SEC. Additionally, this position will keep abreast of emerging SEC guidelines and new and proposed U.S. GAAP accounting standards to determine the potential disclosure implications to Saluda's financial statements.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the Company's external financial reporting process, including SEC reporting (Form 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K), quarterly and annual census reporting, and other financial and governmental statutory reporting as required.Oversee the review and preparation of all related consolidated financial statements, related notes, and management discussion and analysis.Liaise with external auditors, legal counsel, Investor Relations, and various team members within the company.Responsible for the preparation and adherence to the quarterly and annual detail close calendar and monitor adherence to the calendar.Liaise with technology team in support of the applications supporting external financial reporting for security and access.Research and resolves SEC and GAAP reporting issues and stay current on emerging accounting standards and SEC Rules and Regulations.Provide training and development to the broader finance organization, where relevant.Leads SOX 404 compliance efforts. Serves as the main contact for the Company's external SOX consultants and external auditors including related activities.Assist in various special projects for Chief Accounting Officer.Requirements:
Must have experience working with SEC clients (if coming from public accounting) or at an SEC Registered Company (if coming from private).Superior technical analytical skills.Candidate must have a strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting. Knowledge of IFRS a plus.Must have a deep understanding of ASC 605 and ASC 606 and have worked in a company that has been through the adoption of the standard, preferably in the medical device industry.Lead various process improvement initiatives to eliminate redundancies and improve efficiency.Oversee compliance and review of the XBRL process.Current and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, including SEC Reporting.Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley rules and regulations.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Knowledge of QAD and Workday Adaptive Planning a plus.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor or higher degree in accounting or finance10+ years technical accounting and reporting experienceCPA, or equivalent qualification with 8+ years US GAAP experienceExperience as a Manager or above in a Big 4 accounting firm.Demonstrated knowledge and experience researching and documenting accounting guidance and the accounting treatment of issuesPreferred Qualifications:
