A CPA / consulting firm in New York City is currently seeking an experienced Tax professional to join their team as their new The Tax Partner - Real Estate. In this role, the The Tax Partner will be responsible for leading and managing tax engagements, developing client relationships, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the tax practice.Responsibilities:

The Tax Partner will:Provide expert tax advice to real estate clients, including developers, investors, and property management firmsAnalyze and interpret complex tax regulations and legislation affecting the real estate industryDevelop and implement tax strategies to optimize clients' financial positions and achieve their business objectivesLead and manage tax engagements related to real estate, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of servicesOversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulationsMonitor and manage client relationships, addressing client needs, and identifying opportunities for additional servicesProvide leadership and mentorship to a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environmentConduct training sessions to enhance the team's technical expertise in real estate taxationActively participate in business development activities, including identifying new client opportunities and expanding existing relationshipsEnsure compliance with internal policies and external regulationsMitigate potential risks associated with tax engagements through effective risk management strategiesQualifications:

10+ years of experience in Real Estate Tax, including a proven track record of successful tax planning and complianceStrong knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Tax laws and regulations affecting the real estate industryExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationshipsProven leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a teamBusiness development experience, including a successful track record of client acquisition and retentionSolid analytical and problem-solving skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organized
