Position Summary:
THE FOCUS IS YOU:We are looking to add a Tax Senior Manager to help guide and oversee our clients, in addition to support our internal leaders and the on-going growth in our Great Lakes Region.As a Tax Senior Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and reviewing financial information for clients, such as business and individual tax returns, with the benefit of gaining exposure to a diverse client base operating in a variety of industries. The Tax Senior Manager serves to manage client relationships and act as a liaison between overseeing/mentoring internal staff and working closely with internal leaders, to ensure high-quality work is conducted and delivered to our clients.WHAT YOU WILL DORegular duties include (but are not limited to):Review tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individualsHandle special projects including tax audits, transaction structuring, and implementation of tax planning strategiesFacilitate advanced tax research, resolve complex tax issuesReview tax work from staff and provide feedback, training, and mentoringLead and manage multiple tax engagements from start to finish ensuring they are completed within budget and timelineBuild, manage, and maintain lasting relationships with clientsDevelop, motivate, and train staff act as a mentor and a role modelDemonstrate advanced tax technical knowledge necessary for advising clients and developing an area of expertiseParticipate in firms marketing, recruiting, team-building, and similar effortsDevelop outside relationships with a goal of generating referral sourcesAdhere to firms policies and proceduresWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORExperience8+ years in accountingPublic accounting preferredExperience in municipal government and/or nonprofit is a plus, but not requiredEducationMinimum Bachelors degree:Bachelors in Accounting for Audit or TaxRelated Business Degree for ConsultingLicense / CertificationMust be a CPA for Audit; May need equivalent certification for other disciplinesMust maintain required CPE credits annuallyMay possibly have other industry or specialization certificationLegal / ComplianceMust complete acknowledgement of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards documentGovernment engagements require ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States governmentWHO WE AREREADY TO DELIVERWe take pride in our ability to combine local knowledge with national, regional, and international skills to provide you and your organization with the best resources possible.
