Job Description and Responsibilities:

Neuralink is seeking motivated Veterinary Technicians who thrive in a fast-paced research environment. The Veterinary Technician will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support the research and development of brain-computer interfaces in animal models.Properly prep and monitor animals for anesthesiaPerform veterinary health exams and medical procedures for a range of animals including, but not limited to, the following species: sheep, pigs, and nonhuman primatesAdminister clinical treatments as directed via appropriate routes (e.g., oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous)Maintain accurate documentation and medical records in accordance with regulatory bodiesOperate laboratory and medical equipment, including custom equipment, as well as identify basic operating problemsDemonstrate knowledge of proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materialsCollect and prepare biological samples for testing, including blood, urine, and bacterial culturesEngage in potential interstate travel from California to TexasRequired Qualifications:

Boarded, or eligible, Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT)2+ years of academic or industry experience working with research animalsComfortable working closely with animals in a research environmentExperience in animal husbandryEffective oral and written communication of veterinary and scientific information to technical, research, and clinical staffDedication to being a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environmentBasic computer skills and proficiency in Google Docs, Google Drive, and GmailPreferred Qualifications:

Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) CertificationFamiliarity with regulatory requirements for working with animals from FDA, DEA, and USDAPhysical Requirements:

Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs, bend, stoop and stand; ability to travel

Pay Transparency:

Based on California law, the following details are for California individuals only:

California Hourly Rate:

$24-$37 USD

For Full-Time Employees, your compensation package will include two major components: salary and equity. Guidance on salary for this role will be determined according to the level at which you enter the organization, with the ability to gain more over time as you contribute. In addition, Full-Time Employees are eligible for the following benefits listed below.
