We are looking for a skilled Controller to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering superior products/services while maintaining the highest levels of financial integrity and accountability.

THE ROLE

The Controller will oversee our accounting team and be responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting and support the Corporate Human Resource function.This position will be involved in maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.This position addresses tight deadlines and manages, and is involved in, a multitude of accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial reporting, and the support of budget and forecast activities.The position also includes Human Resource functions including payroll and integration with Corporate Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Financial Management:

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledgerCash Management:

Optimize cash flow management by forecasting cash requirements, monitoring cash balances, and implementing effective cash management strategiesMonth-End and Year-End Process:

Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information and assist the SVP in all financial reporting, including preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for all general ledger accountsBudget & Forecasts:

Support the SVP in the development and implementation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.Reporting:

Prepare the monthly and annual financial statements. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.Audit Support:

Coordinate and complete annual audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.Policy & Procedures:

Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and operations, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.Team Leadership:

Manage and mentor the accounting staff, including performance review, staff development, and training.Payroll:

Prepare and process weekly payroll, including oversight and management of employee timeCommunications:

Responsible for Company communications related to human resource related mattersCorporate liaison:

Act as liaison between Corporate HR and CompanyEmployee advisor:

Assist employees, as needed, with HR mattersRecruitment:

Act as liaison between Corporate recruitment and Company, including management of recruiting process for new personnelOnboarding:

Involvement in onboarding processQUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred5-7 years of hands-on Controller experience or similarExperience with month-end/year-end closing processProficient in accounting software and databases; expertise in Microsoft ExcelAbility to multitaskProven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulationsStrong attention to detail and excellent analytical skillsExcellent communication and leadership abilities

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000 + Bonus
