The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) supervises the strategic direction and operational oversight of the Finance/Accounting Department. You will report directly to the CEO and routinely interact with the Board of Directors (BOD).
You will play a crucial role in managing the financial health and sustainability of the organization. Responsibilities include accounting, financial reporting, entrepreneurial activities, investments, banking relations, budgeting, benefits, grant billing and other financial activities as necessary.
Responsibilities:
As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in steering our financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and driving growthDevelop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize financial performance and mitigate risksGuide the implementation of organizational and program strategy within Programs and ServicesLead proper financial analysis, financial reports for management and board of directors.Maintains all financial records according to financial and accounting policies and procedures that conform to generally accepted accounting principles.Oversees and directs the preparation and issuance of the organization's annual reportWork with leadership and team to develop agency strategies, policies, and practices for best management practices and to ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsSupervise financial operations and accounting staff in financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll, billing, and cash receiptsProvide coaching and professional development opportunities for accounting staffQualifications :
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; MBA or CPA a plus10 years accounting, 5 years nonprofit managementNon-Profit and Fund Accounting experience - RequiredProficient in Microsoft office, Excel, Word, Fund accounting software, preferably Sage MIPProven track record of driving financial performance and implementing strategic initiatives.Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic teamFlexible and a self-starter; able to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented.Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and inspire a team.Passion for the organization's mission and desire to help others.
