The ideal candidate has 10+ years of accounting experience with some experience working in a private equity backed company environment
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required, Strong preference for Master's/MBA Degree
CPA strongly preferred/not required
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, rolling up sleeves and working on the day-to-day tasks as neededWhat You'll Be Doing:
Leads accounting team including assigning daily tasks and reviewing work on a daily, weekly, monthly basis (journal entries, corrections, financial reporting, etc.)
Lead month-end close process for the business unit and ensure a timely close process monthly
Lead the consolidated reporting efforts with corporate accounting leaders
Act as a business partner to local and corporate leadership by providing strategic recommendations based on the financial situation of the business unit
Keep local and corporate leaders informed on potential or on-going issues
Lead payroll tasks including processing payroll biweekly and calculating commissions monthly
Ensure team is utilizing the most effective processes and procedures; Work with business leaders to plan and implement changes as needed
Act as liaison to internal and external auditors; Provide requested documents or reports in a timely manner
Mentor and guide junior team members, as well as train on skills as needed
Handle or delegate ad hoc requests as needed by leadership
