POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Talent Acquisition oversees, develops, implements, and drives key talent initiatives across the organization at the School and Regional levels.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESEnsures diverse, high-quality hires, efficient hiring practices, effective recruitment technology, creative marketing strategies, and compliance with internal policies and government regulations.Manage a high-volume talent acquisition team focused on providing excellent customer service to our hiring managers and applicants while maintaining an active recruitment load.Provide vision, strategic leadership, and practical experience to talent acquisition infrastructure.Manages the day-to-day activities of the Talent direct reports, ensuring focus, efficiency, quality, and on-time results.Responsible for KIPP Capital Region employment brand strategy execution and integrating the employee value proposition (EVP) through the platform of Talent Acquisition by fostering a strong partnership with Marketing stakeholders.Collaborate with the Equity team to develop and implement creative networking, professional organization, and college recruiting strategies and programs, resulting in broad and diverse applicant and candidate pools.Oversee and evaluate the full cycle recruiting process from sourcing to onboarding.Build effective working relationships with a strong understanding of business strategy and priorities; provide timely and appropriate support and feedback to hiring managers and stakeholders across the organization.Responsible for creating an exceptional experience for the candidate/new hire/hiring manager at each step of the recruitment process, collaborating with other Managers of People Operations and organization leaders to ensure a smooth orientation handoff from talent acquisition to the hiring teams.Develop appropriate metrics and tracking mechanisms, service-level agreements, and other planning and measurement tools to build accountability and measure the hiring process and talent acquisition team's results, impact, and cost-effectiveness.Create and implement cost-effective talent acquisition strategies, ensuring effective and creative sourcing, evaluation, and selection of the most qualified and diverse talent for School & Regional roles and entities.Support the Managing Director of Human Resources as a trusted advisor, serving as a designee on behalf of the Managing Director of Human Resources where appropriate, and work collaboratively with school and regional leaders to promote and integrate known Talent best practices and execute and scale the Region's Talent strategy.Direct and oversee the development and implementation of all recruiting and talent acquisition programs to attract and retain staff while leveraging talent acquisition resources.Mentor and coach the Talent Team to foster engagement, ensure professional development opportunities, and align the HR team and individual goals with top KIPP CAP organization and HR priorities.Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods based on the available role, industry expertise, regional complexities, and the organization's needs.Partner with leadership teams and staff to drive performance and change in the recruiting process, ensuring the development, selection, and retention of top candidates.Leverage technology to evaluate processes and drive change and continuous improvement of the sourcing, recruitment, and hiring processes to enhance the recruitment, employment, and hiring experience for improvements in our hiring practice that will reduce the time to fill and increase the quality of candidates/new hires, such as standardizing the hiring process and improving interviewing tools.Responsible for the recruitment & onboarding lifecycle logistics, including but not limited to establishing oversight of the HRIS system, organizational practices, timelines, draft communications, assisting in presenting applicable training, quality assurance, tracking, and follow-up, as well as talent system performance issues.Leads Talent data management, system maintenance, auditing the integrity of the data, ensuring record retention, and being the gatekeeper for all Talent system transactions, as well as entering accurate/consistent data in the Talent Recruiting systems with precise documentation that supports all changes to optimize KIPP CAP's Talent record-keeping practices.Identify and oversee the development and delivery of appropriate learning and reference tools, policies, practices, and procedures for staff to deliver timely and effective recruiting, hiring, and workforce planning.Provide strategic direction, talent acquisition expertise, and guidance to key stakeholders on strategic and emerging talent acquisition trends, benchmarks, and other issues.Creating an exceptional experience at each step of the recruitment process will ensure that every new hire has a positive, polished, and professional recruitment experience.Collaborate with the Director of HR and organization leaders to ensure a smooth orientation handoff from talent acquisition to the hiring teams.Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations and organizational policies.Responsible for the management and reporting of all federal programs, including oversight of affirmative action goals and EEOC guidelines.Ensure compliance with EEO and other regulatory requirements and oversee progress against goals in the various Affirmative Action Plans.Work across the Talent team to identify and pursue opportunities to streamline processes, leverage the full power of automated tools, update policies, and creatively update talent acquisition strategies while focusing on the highest-value activities and striving to remain competitive in a tight labor market.Serves as a partner to KIPP CAP Leaders, alongside the Director of Human Resources, providing strategic Talent guidance on processes and policies, creating and project managing Talent timelines, and ensuring that all Talent systems and practices are processed, streamlined, timely, and accurate.Provide collaborative leadership, facilitation, and implementation of key initiatives with school and regional leaders to advance talent strategies.Work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to further operationalize talent practices and contribute to strategies that drive desired outcomes.Identify and build strong relationships with external stakeholders to enhance and improve the overall applicant and candidate experience.Responsible for collaborating with key leaders and stakeholders on workforce planning initiatives, organizational structure and design, and assessing the feasibility and utilization of a contingent workforce to support the organization's business strategy and goals.Oversee the strategic development and implementation of career networking events, career fair schedules, and participation to build the KIPP Capital Region employment brand with key colleges, universities, and professional organizations.Supports the Director of HR & Equity Team in designing equitable organizational-wide talent guidelines, practices, and policies.Contribute to the ongoing development of Talent-related regulatory requirements and learning and development initiatives, specifically providing expertise to support the mission of KIPP CAP.Work in partnership with the HR Team, School, and Regional Leaders Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University is required.3+ Years of experience in leadership roles, with focused responsibility for leading and managing Talent team, goals, and initiatives preferred.Experience working collaboratively with various departments in a fast-paced, growing environment across functional teams with multiple stakeholders.Track record developing rigorous internal talent processes to deliver exceptional results to hiring managers, business partners, and key stakeholders.Ability to identify ways to evolve our Talent practices by staying current with the latest trends and providing recommendations and insights based on industry best practices.Mid-level to advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications, working knowledge of Google Applications, UKG HRIS, ATS (preferably Recruiting Gateway), and various Talent applications and job boards.Understanding of working directly with students, preferably required in the charter, private, or public school environment.Prior experience working in schools and urban communities is preferred but not required.Additional Information

Salaries are determined using an equitable compensation scale that accounts for years of experience relevant to the role and longevity within the KIPP network. KIPP Capital Region will evaluate and determine the step/level a new hire will be placed within our salary grade scale at point of hire.
