Your impact:This role will be a Transportation Construction Inspection Supervisor or ManagerPlans, reviews, and assigns work of construction field office personnel including Lochner staff, sub-consultants and partnersSupervises a team of inspectors responsible for monitoring work quality and performanceReviews project activities with client and contractor's field supervision to resolve disputes and other project issuesRead and interpret complex contract plans and specificationsRead and interpret construction contract languageMonitor Contractor progress and compare with reviewed Progress ScheduleReview/coordinate and prepare responses to project correspondence, RFIs and technical submittalsProactively manage construction changes and claims and work with client to resolveLeads construction meetings with clients and contractorsOther duties as assignedWho you are:
Previous experience as a Transportation Construction Inspection Supervisor or Transportation Construction Manager on road and bridge infrastructure required, PennDOT projects is preferred.Willingness to work weekends, nights, and swing shifts as required on assigned projectsRequires progressive work-related experienceWork requires ability to gather and understand technical data for purposes of generating advanced technical reportsRequires advanced knowledge of construction practices and principlesMust be able to interpret plans, standards, and specifications.Good understanding of construction specifications and plans.Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations.Must have a working knowledge of Word and Excel.Knowledge of PennDOT or PTC specification and standards is required.Ability to effectively lead a team of inspectors.Valid Driver's License and clean driving recordPreferred Certifications:
NICET Level 2 or Higher in Highway Construction.NECEPT BituminousNECEPT Concrete
