Storage Administrator.
In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of our Federal client's storage systems. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure the integrity and security of our client's data storage infrastructure. You may work from Ogden, UT, Montgomery, AL or Mechanicsburg, PA. This is a hybrid role requiring you to work on-site one day a week. Candidate must be a U.S. citizen with or eligible for a Secret security clearance (Summit will sponsor if clearance is needed).
Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain storage hardware and software systems.Monitor performance and capacity.Manage volume distribution, maintain data protection, and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for both virtual and physical servers.Collaborate with fellow IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of storage systems with other infrastructure components.Develop and keep comprehensive documentation related to storage configurations, processes, and procedures.Conduct regular security audits to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for storage-related issues.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.Collaborate closely with vendors to address hardware issues and replacements.Experience:
10 years of proven IT experience with 5 years in Storage Administration, Array side.Experience utilizing cloud storage solutions.Experience using Storage Area Network (SAN) fabric technologies.Knowledge of scripting languages for automation tasks.Experience managing storage environments.Hand-on experience with storage management tools and software.Design experience is a plus.Education:
Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR a Enterprise Storage certification.Required Certifications:
IAT II or higher 8570/8140 certification (CompTIA Security+ ce, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC or SSCP).Enterprise Storage certification.Security Clearance:
