Your Tasks:Negotiate with suppliers for goods and services, negotiating the best possible price and service, meeting quality and schedule requirements (incl. coordination of delivery control/ expediting)Develop new supply sources as requiredExamine bids and make awards, including creation of negotiation documents/ protocolsNegotiate blanket purchase orders when appropriate and monitor cost during the time periodAttend and actively participate at Project MeetingsEstablish account/credit and termsInteraction with other departments internally and Durr globally / other Divisions, as necessary, to assure a successful project completion and common understandingEstablish, renew and maintain frame agreements for all related purchasesResponsible for travel management activitiesDevelop project equipment schedulingDevelop innovative ideas and incorporate them effectively into the work processEstablish Purchasing policies and ensure compliance to local/ global processes/ rulesSupport SAP audits/ external audits as necessaryPurchasing quality program maintenance, continuous improvement function to BOSResponsible for Vendor Diversity processSupport import/export managementWork closely with Receiving Department to ensure supplies arrive according to contract termsSupervision of buyersProvide career guidance/development through informal feedback and the formal employee review processManage SRM activitiesCreate and execute standard purchasing reportsCoordinate employee relocationsFollow cost trends and forecasting market trendsYour Skills:
Bachelor Degree in a business related area (i.e. Engineering, Business) preferredWorking knowledge of automotive and industrial paint shop equipment and environmental equipment OR general construction management knowledge of at least 5 yearsProject management experience, for multi-million dollar projects preferredAbility to read and understand drawings and technical documents such as specifications and schedulesAbility to read and understand contract terms & conditions and related commercial documentsUnderstand required sequencing and scheduling for equipment build on typical projectUnderstand manufacturing processes and equipment usedSuperior negotiation skillsStrong organization skills along with demonstrated ability to maintain office efficiencyAbility to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization as well as external contactsAbility to lead a team and foster teamwork among team membersSolid decision making skillsProficient with MS Office, Word, ExcelWorking knowledge of SAPWilling to travel as required (10-20%)
