DescriptionThe Selling Partner Services (SPS) organization is looking for a Finance Manager to support Buyer Bad Debt Reporting. SPS employs over 20,000 employees who provide support to Amazon's Selling Partners while also ensuring that we protect Amazon customers from bad actors. SPS is responsible for preventing bad actor activity across nearly every Amazon product line. This is a critical role where we strive to identify, mitigate and prevent the ability of those who attempt to defraud Amazon and our customers.This Finance Manager will be a key player in providing financial insights to business leaders within the Buyer Risk Prevention team and partner closely with Accounting. The role includes month end close activities and reconciliations, controllership, forecasting and budgeting responsibilities, and weekly business reporting for business partners.The role includes opportunities for complex model creation and forecasting, driving standardization and automation of reporting and insights to business partners. The candidate will need experience with working with large data sets and the ability to work across teams to deliver results. The right individual should possess solid business judgment be able to provide insights and trade off decisions to business partners on bad debt, and be able to work collaboratively with multiple finance and business teams. It will be expected that the candidate can identify issues by diving deep and working with technical teams to pinpoint root causes, drive closure, invent and simplify, and implement solutions. Additionally, the role will support internal customer groups, explaining drivers that impact bad debt in their business results.Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- NOTE: Must have BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience (as listed above), OR a Masters degree and 3+ years of finance experiencePreferred Qualifications- 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 8+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience- MBA, or CPA- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results- Experience using CognosAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
