DI CONFORM & COLORISTDigital cinema mastering support to produce trailer and feature digital cinema masters (DCDM's), from elements supplied or created internally, and digital cinema packages (DCP's) for theatrical distribution as well as timing of film to produce answer prints.

Digital Conform:Accurately assembles the digital cinema distribution master from supplied data and matches with supplied audio. Insures picture and sound integrity prior to presentation of trailers and features for client approvals. Conforms foreign territory versions requiring special picture inserts, cards and edits.

Digital Pipeline:Manages digital render pipeline for multiple concurrent projects from initial testing through final release. May supervise the work of others to ensure timely delivery and strict client deadlines. Includes many unique versions to release on a day-and-date basis in worldwide territories.

Color Timing:Uses digital tools to manipulate and adjust the brightness, contrast and color of digital images for consistency in the film's colors to match the client's supplied sample. May involve 3D eye matching, color keying, color animation, power windows, pan and scans and other techniques. Creates 3D HD, TV and digital cinema masters for documentaries requiring the use of floating windows, animated pan and scans, animated convergence changes, vertical alignment, compositing and additional color correction. May also assist with color timing of film prints via printer lights.

Supports the color balance of multiple film recorders operating on a 24/7 schedule to meet production requirements and deadlines.

Maintains communication with clients, internal management and other departments, coordinating services as required. Reviews customer purchase orders and other instructions to ascertain details of proposed projects, services requested and delivery date required. Confers with Accounting Department and provides project specifics to enable accurate cost estimate preparation and invoicing.

Participates in screening Daily prints as required in order to detect variations from standards, noting abnormalities and imperfections. Works on remedial measures to maintain high quality presentations.

Assists with the management of data in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Schedule will often include long hours, evenings and weekends in a fast-paced, deadline driven post-production environment. Regular staff position with benefits.

Experience required:

Experience in Baselight operation, UNIX, Linux, compositing and image manipulation software. Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, changing priorities while maintaining high quality standards.
