IGT has approximately 10,500 employees.Responsibilities:This position is responsible for providing elementary level network infrastructure support of all IGT Wide Areas Progressive (WAP) and Technology Operations, shared services, systems.The Network Engineer I will assist senior engineers with installations, network maintenance, and support.Performs elementary troubleshooting of network devices such as routers and switches.Monitors and/or troubleshoots network functions by utilizing tools for verification of services, monitoring tool set availability and detecting, reporting, escalating, tracking, and documenting anomalies.Maintains network documentation (diagrams, procedures, best practices and performance and capacity metrics).Assists with planning and participates as a team member for projects related to network delivery. Assists with systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.Will participate in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and systems problems.Will participate in replacing faulty network hardware when required and maintaining Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.Participation in on-call support.Qualifications

Associate degree in a technology field or equivalent network certification and experience.CompTIA Network+ required; CCNA or equivalent preferred.Two years of networking experience in a support capacity.Understanding of basic network infrastructure and technology: WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, UDP and DHCP Routers and Switches, Fiber optic and copper cabling.The ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.This is a 24/7/365 real-time support environment; it can be challenging, dynamic and requires a lot at times.The position will require travel based on the business needs of the company. Must be able to travel to district offices, as needed.Keys to Success
