Senior LAN Engineer\nContract to hire\nHybrid onsite\n\nTriumph is seeking a Senior LAN Engineer for our client in Richmond, VA. This person will provide support, implementation, and design services for Microsoft Active Directory, Windows-based, and VMWare centric systems across the entire state of Virginia. The core infrastructure technology duties include enterprise Microsoft Active Directory, ADFS, Microsoft Certificate Services, VMWare, Azure Authentication, policy configuration, and top-level support for enterprise-wide initiatives.\n\n
Responsibilities:
\n
\n\t
Ensure systems adherence and compliance with security standards and practices. \n\tPerform root cause analysis and repair of technical issues and trends to include assisting team members as needed \n\tDocument, update, and manage tickets within the ticketing systems AIMS, Jira, and ServiceNow. \n\tEnsure system outages are communicated to all designated stakeholders using established procedures. \n\tEnterprise-level support for Active Directory for global initiatives following those through to implementation via collaboration with project and support teams. \n\tIdentify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery everywhere possible. \n\tPerform Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for directory services environment. \n\tServes as escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application, or system problems. \n\tPerform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs. \n\tInstall, configure, and maintain Active Directory and third-party software utilities for hardware systems within company operational guidelines. \n\tCreate and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps. \n\tImprove existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation. \n\tApplies new solutions through research and collaboration with team and determines course of action for new application initiatives. \n\tProvide training as required. \n\n\n

Active Directory architecture and management [expert-level] \n\tExpert knowledge in creating, administering, and troubleshooting Group Policies (GPOs)[expert-level] \n\tActive Directory Federation Services (ADFS), SAML, SSO [expert-level] \n\tPKI, PIV cards, Smart Cards[expert-level] \n\tWindows Certificates Services Management[expert-level] \n\tDistributed File System including both DFS-N, and DFS-R[expert-level] \n\tWindows Server Operating Systems (2012 R2 to 2022) [mid-expert level] \n\tAzure Active Directory and Azure AD Connect [mid-expert level] \n\tAzure AD Single Sign-on (SSO) federated authentication and enterprise application[mid-level] \n\tDevelops security standards and controls per DISA STIGS and CISA requirements [mid-level] \n\tOffice 365 Administration [mid-level] \n\tVMware vSphere and Hyper-V Virtualization [mid-level] \n\tScripting Experience: PowerShell and VBScript[mid-level] \n\tWindows Failover Clustering [mid-level] \n\tWindows file shares and security administration [mid-level] \n\tWindows Web Server [mid-level] \n\tAbility to solve complex hardware and software issues. \n\tAbility to travel and work after hours when necessary. \n\tExcellent interpersonal skills and proven written and verbal communication skills. \n\tOrganized and capable of working in a fast paced, team driven environment. \n\n\n
Requirements:
