Job Description Summary

The individual in this role will work closely with Advanced Technologies Organization at GE Aerospace, manufacturing, and material behavior teams to resolve Polymer Matrix Composite issues for RISE and Military applications.

Roles and Responsibilities

Provide guidance and planning for the evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements

.

Lead program initiatives in design, materials, manufacturing, quality and/or productivity.

Define and develop product processes related to design, analysis, test, materials, manufacture, quality and/or productivity.

Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned hardware.

Lead technical reviews and provide results and data with both vendors and customers.

Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate.

Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules, and commitments.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college or university.

Minimum of 3 years' experience in disciplinary engineering and science

Must be a US Citizen and must be able to obtain and hold security clearance.

Desired Characteristics

Knowledge of mechanical design of PMC components and assembly procedures, and specifications.

Effective team building and project management ability.

The ability to navigate and work with Military, DoD and other Government Programs.

Possess a background in medium-high temperature composite materials, properties, processes, and testing.

Existing DOD Security Clearance

Interpersonal and leadership skills.

Ability to develop planning for production and testing of material samples.

Ability to interface effectively within the organization and with external customers.

Strong project management skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills​.
