Job Description:As a Paramedic at Albuquerque Ambulance Service (AAS), your skills and compassion can shine. You'll provide high-volume, prehospital 911 emergency response for patients, ensuring their safe transport to regional hospitals. Additionally, you'll handle emergent and non-emergent inter-facility transportation. This position is eligible for Sign On and Relocation Bonuses!Shift Details & DifferentialsFull Time, 1.0 FTEShifts are typically (3) 13-hour shifts or (4) 11-hour shifts in Days, Nights, or Swing schedules.***/hr Ambulance Service Differential, earned on all hours worked.***/hr Night Differential, earned on eligible night hours, stacks on base rate******/hr Weekend Differential, earned on eligible weekend hours, stacks on base rate******/hr Bachelor's OR ***/hr Master's Education Differential, if in approved focus, earned on all hours worked. ResponsibilitiesProvides prehospital 911 emergency care and/or Inter-facility transportation for injured and/or ill patients.Administers medications and performs ALS level interventions and treatments as allowable per the NM State scope of practice, local guidelines, medical direction, and organizational policies.Documents and maintains accurate medical records for patient encounters through use of ImageTrend Elite.Operates emergency vehicles in a safe manner, consistent with EVOC.Assists in the instruction of emergency medical services (EMS) students to provide for positive work-related experiences.Attendance at departmental staff meetings and/or in-service educational programs while keeping current with developments in the field. Proactively utilizes best practices to minimize response and drop times.QualificationsHigh school Diploma/GED equivalent requiredCurrent New Mexico driver's license is required without relevant restrictions.Must be at least 18 years of age with a driving record insurable per Presbyterian policyMust possess and maintain a State of New Mexico Paramedic certification in good standingMust maintain all required certifications (i.e., ACLS, BLS)Must be up to date with FEMA 100, 200, 700 coursesAbility to perform CPR and all skills associated with paramedic licensureEMT experience preferredMust pass physical abilities assessmentMust obtain medical examiner certification/DOT certification as part of on-boarding and maintain.Position Urgency:NormalShifts:Full Time, All ShiftsState License Details:Upon AcceptanceMinimum Years of Experience:Less than 1 yearSpecialty Type:NursingSub Specialty:ParamedicBilingual:NoHoliday Coverage Required:No
