What you'll be doing:Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you:

Lead complex problem solving as it relates to environmental investigations and remediations providing high-quality results and solutions to our clients' projects and challenges.

Maintain a high external profile through membership/attendance in industry organizations and continually growing a contact base.

Maintain a high internal profile through CAR project pursuits, wins, and delivery.

Lead proposal development and contract negotiation to win targeted pursuits, which leverage GHD's capabilities and value proposition.

Technical project management and direction while maintaining client satisfaction and ensuring projects are delivered safely and within scope, schedule, and budget.

What you will bring to the team:

Experience working with and mentoring a high-functioning team specializing in hydrogeologic analysis, facies model and stratigraphy sequencing, and conceptual site model development as they relate to investigation and remediation of contaminated sites.

Solid understanding of U.S. EPA regulations, State environmental regulations for various Midwestern states, and other standards/regulations affecting the industry.

Experience with preparing regulatory work plans and reports for investigation, remediation, and closure; working knowledge of methods and procedures for site characterization, hydrogeologic analysis, and remediation of contaminants in soil, soil vapor, indoor air, and groundwater understanding of multimedia remedial technologies for addressing a variety of contaminants.

Proven experience managing and delivering complex projects and a deep understanding of industry standards.

A focus on the development of efficient technical and regulatory strategies and solutions that address our clients' specific compliance needs and challenges.

Experience with aquifer test data analysis and contaminant migration analysis. Understanding of groundwater flow modeling and other Advanced Site Characterization tools.

Ability to oversee and review work carried out by other geoscientists and environmental technologists and provide constructive feedback.

Knowledge and skills to provide hydrogeologic advice to external and internal clients.

A commitment to behavior-based safety.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in applied science (Geology, Earth Science, or Engineering) with an emphasis in hydrogeology.

Minimum 15 years of experience in contaminated site investigation and remediation.

Professional Designation/License (Engineer, Geologist, etc.).

OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification.

Strong understanding and demonstrated field experience in site characterization and remediation.
