Large Language Models (LLMs) hold immense potential to change the way we work and develop products. SAP AI Product Engineering is responsible for designing central frameworks and cloud services such as Joule, Generative AI Hub, AI Core, and Document Information Extraction as the AI foundation for embedded AI throughout our portfolio.The Role:Lead the development of Business AI Scenarios on SAP business data embedded in a diverse business context.Technical lead for the project team of AI Scientists and Data Engineers, providing strategic guidance and overseeing project execution.Design a representation suitable for Self-Supervised Learning on data across the entire SAP application and process portfolio.Define processes, methods, hypotheses, experiments, and review results from the ground up.Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure the Foundation Model/LLMs aligns with strategic company objectives.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AI and Data Engineering trends to improve team performance and product quality.Establish and drive research collaborations with academic and commercial partners.Contribute to thought leadership in Foundation Models/LLMs and Generative AI.What you bring:PhD or master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or relevant disciplines.Extensive experience with Foundation Models/LLMs and Machine Learning.Professional experience with Machine Learning on structured data, preferably in the ERP or CRM domain.Deep understanding of applying Generative AI in a business context.Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar.Exceptional teamwork abilities, strong leadership, and strategic thinking skills.Substantial publication record related to LLMs, Deep Learning, and/or traditional ML.We build breakthroughs togetherSAP innovations help more than 400,000 customers worldwide work together more efficiently.
