You will use your technical and collaboration skills alongside your passion for innovation and continuous improvement to drive growth through efficient and effective development of new products.Key Responsibilities:Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, and reviews manual or automated test protocols that evaluate software applications against software requirements. This is a Linux-based, commercial, safety-critical medical device software application.Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, and reviews regulated software tools used to support the software verification process.Tracks software development and testing effort by creating and maintaining records in the approved tracking management tool.Solves engineering problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions.Analyzes, evaluates, verifies requirements, software, and systems by using software engineering practices.Run and manage test regression in a formal environment.Uses version management tool to manage test assets in a concurrent design environment.Collaborates with requirements and development teams to coordinate resolution of software errors.May interface with Systems Engineers or other user representatives to define or modify application requirements, design and/or implementation.Coordinate and collaborate with global team members.Participate in Agile software development process and work towards achieving individual and team goals.Continuously improves process and work methodologies by interfacing with peers/cross-functional groups and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processes.Could lead project teams of software design and test engineers through the full lifecycle of software development, from concept through commercialization and field support.Represent the software function with cross-functional project team members and work cross-functionally to coordinate, develop, and communicate project schedules.Drives completion of software team deliverables based on regulations and Quality system requirements.Documents software test development by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests.Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters requiring coordination between organizations.Provides leadership role on championing functional best practices.Collaborates and leads a global R&D team across geographies and time zones.Mentor junior engineers in software testing activities/methodologies and domain knowledge.Minimum Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.Testing experience in a regulated environment (medical devices, defense, aerospace).2+ years of experience in automated software testing using Python.Preferred Qualifications:Capacity to multitask several testing activities concurrently.Effective communicator and writer.Proven technical leadership.Experiences with the following:Tools: JIRA, Eclipse, AccuRev.Experience in Python and any of the following: wxPython, C#, Java, C++, Perl.Experience with Windows Operating System.Experience with Linux Operating System.Designing and implementing test software and test automation frameworks.Experience leading teams using Agile or Kanban methodologies.Requisition ID:
