The Marketing Specialist 2 – Marriage & Advocacy position exists to provide marketing support to the Marriage & Advocacy Marketing team to include project management, marketing plan assistance, schedule adherence, inter-department communication, tactical implementation, and plan entries into the system to track approvals and deadlines.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Provides support in the development of marketing plans to include writing strategic plans, schedule adherence, tactical implementation, and follow-up on plan elements, managing calendars, reporting on plan status and exceptions, and distribution of final plan (internal and external) to key stakeholders
Leverage industry market intelligence and consumer insight to apply to brand direction and strategic development
Daily and weekly contact with key stakeholder across the ministry to clearly communicating the milestones for a project, following through in a timely manner on all assigned parts of a project, promptly responding to requests for information
Manage and track content development and perform updates to public website, and microsites (landing pages) within the Marriage & Advocacy area of responsibility, including staying up to date with all forms. Oversees selection of acquisition offers on Marriage & Advocacy websites and ensures proper tracking and reporting are in place
Develops campaign and tactical marketing performance reports using Salesforce Marketing Cloud data and assists in presenting this information to Marketing Management and other stakeholders
Develops automated omni channel marketing journey strategies in support of Marriage & Advocacy marketing campaigns for approval by Marketing Manager and other stakeholders
Actively participates in development and implementation of product road-mapping and optimizing the website content for SEO
Conducts research for competitive analysis, SWOT analysis and persona evaluations to ensure we are hitting the right core audience, maximizing our ROI potential, and ministry impact
Assists in the planning and preparation of various on-site partner and other inter-departmental meetings (e.g., agendas, assignment follow-up etc.). Takes notes of action items, decisions, and other issues for follow-up in meetings as assigned. Follows up on assignments given
Works with Author Relations to provide resource marketing assistance as needed
Identifies areas for growth and creates strategic product line roadmaps to help drive acceptance of the product and differentiating features
Helps maintain the marketing calendar for the department, keeps marketing plan files organized and gathers samples (e.g., ads, covers, promotional copies etc.) of plan elements, distributes product samples to stakeholders etc.
Assists in maintaining effective internal client (e.g., content, audience, brand, legal, orthodoxy etc.), communication building trust and credibility and addressing questions or concerns in a timely way
Assists in strategic planning and implementation of the plan for various major initiatives within the marketing department as assigned
Reviews packaging, promotional copy, and other communication materials for accuracy recommending changes as needed
Continues to look for innovative ways to develop better internal communication related to FOF resources. Develops and executes routine internal marketing plans to inspire and inform FOF employees about FOF resources
Works with Marketing Manager and the Director of Marketing for Marriage & Advocacy to aid in the tracking and communication of organizational monthly marketing priorities
Provides Marketing Manager and Director with up-to-date, weekly status reports of all initiatives
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
Travels as needed (on a limited basis), to conferences, representing Focus and its resources to a greater audience
Assists in managing student Interns and volunteers
Shares the responsibility of general administrative duties for the Marketing Strategy area
Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or business or related experience is preferred
2-4 years of experience in advertising, marketing, or communications with proven project management skills Exposure to basic marketing principles (awareness of Story brand elements a plus)
Computer proficiency in a variety of Windows or Mac-based software
Experience in giving presentations and public communication preferred
Knowledge of digital communication tools and social media platforms
Skills, Abilities, and Special Talents/Gifts:
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
Ability to work with confidential data/information
Ability to plan for single and multiple projects/functions
Strong analytical skills and logical thought processes; Attention to detail and accuracy
Basic level of technical knowledge in creative and/or product productions process

Stewardship Requirements:
Ability to remain within budget assigned for projects, recognizing stewardship responsibility of donor resources
Salary Range: $58,236 to $67,077/yr
