Site Superintendent
Chinook Systems, Richmond, Virginia, United States,
Triple Hat Site Lead (Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and SSHO )
is needed daily at the jobsite and must be experienced and technically proficient in the renovation and replacement of HVAC / MEP systems in existing federal / mission critical facilities.
This role entails scheduling, quality control, safety and occupational health management, monitoring, assessments, safety site orientation, part of a project team, and responsible for managing the execution of work being performed by Chinook’s subcontractors.
Superintendent Essential Functions
Provide
daily on-site supervision of subcontractors
Monitor
contractor production, schedule, and performance
Complete
Daily Production Reports
Assist
with coordination of work being performed
Comply
with all established guidelines, policies, and procedures established
Initiate
problem-solving, troubleshooting, and perform repairs
Ensure
subcontractors complete work on schedule
Work
with end clients and users onsite, Perform daily/weekly on-site customer
interface.
Communicate
daily status of current projects to Project Manager
Maintain
and demonstrate a proficient working knowledge of all work-related
equipment, policies, procedures, and tactics at all times.
Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) Essential Functions
Enforce
Accident Prevention Plans (APP), develop and communicate Activity Hazard
Analysis (AHA), and oversee the daily Pre-Job Briefing forms
Conduct
safety audits and site safety inspections. Assist with contractor quality
control and safety at construction locations
Taking
necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
Reporting
and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly.
Document
and record any injury or near-miss incident that may occur while you are
working.
Quality Control Essential Functions
Assist
in development and administer the Quality Control Plan (USACE 3 Phases of
Control)
Inspect
materials arriving to site are in compliance with specs, submittals, and contract
requirements.
Ensure
all testing is conducted by approved personnel and/or approved testing
facilities.
Distribute
written inspection/test results to appropriate agencies.
Ensure
effective and timely preventive and corrective actions are taken and
recurrence of problems is eliminated or minimized.
Conduct
pre-final inspections/ establish a punch list if required/ ensure all
deficiencies are corrected.
Keep
accurate record of Red-Lines to be used to generate As-Built documents
Coordinate
conflicts and installation issues with Chinook Engineering Management
Coordinate
and conduct final inspections with government contracting and civil
engineer personnel.
Here's What You Need:
A
minimum of 8 years’ experience managing HVAC and MEP renovation and
replacement Projects (Chillers, Boilers, AHU’s, Emergency Power Systems)
A
minimum of 5 years’ experience managing Federal Construction (USACE/NAVFAC)
Projects
A
minimum of 5 years’ experience managing jobsite safety programs under
requirements of the EM385-1-1
EM385
1-1 40hr / OSHA 30hr / First Aid & CPR w/ AED
USACE
CQM Certification
Experience
with RMS
Proficient
with Project, Word, Excel, and PDF
Active
security clearance preferred but not required
