PACS Application Specialist
Overview
Technologix Group is seeking an experienced; highly customer service-oriented process-driven PACS Applications Specialist. This position requires a proven track record of exceptional customer service skills with a passion for medical and information technologies. This position is available at our Shreveport office. For highly experienced candidates, this position is available as hybrid remote/telecommute; though regular travel to our Shreveport office and to client sites will be required.
The Applications Specialist should have extensive training and clinical background in radiology departments or outpatient imaging centers. Understanding of the day-to-day PACS workflow and a sense of urgency are key to ensuring the best possible experience for our medical clients.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide remote and on-site PACS application supportPerform PACS workflow analysisOnboarding of new sites and provide Go-Live supportDeliver remote and onsite training to Radiologists and other clinical staff membersTest new products and technologies prior to deploymentCreate thorough and accurate documentation on all project and support effortsInvestigate end-user problems and identify their source; determine and implement solutionsWork in conjunction with team members to implement projects successfullyOccasional travelKnowledge Requirements
Understanding of HL7 and DICOMExperience with medical IT systemsUnderstanding of Radiology and Cardiology workflowExperience with PACS applications in a clinical settingExperience with local and wide area networksExperience as PACS vendor technical support is highly preferredQualifications
Bachelor's in Radiologic Sciences, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent5+ years of experienceARRT Registration RequiredProfessional, Industry, and Vendor certificationsStrong technical knowledge and understandingAbility to concisely document issues and resolution stepsMust be fluent in English (spoken and written)Perks of working at Technologix
