Essential Job Functions & ResponsibilitiesCreate and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan aligned with MMYFC’s mission and goalsBuild and execute strategy to raise money necessary to fund annual operating expenses ($2 million in FY2024) as well as all current and future strategic efforts to reach young people with the gospelIdentify and pursue diverse funding sources including individual donors, foundations, corporations, planned giving, monthly giving, and moreMaximize fund development impact of all fundraising campaigns, events, and initiativesDonor Cultivation and StewardshipBuild and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring effective communication and engagementDevelop personalized cultivation strategies to deepen donor relationships and increase giving levelsImplement stewardship practices to recognize and appreciate donors, ensuring their continued support and involvementCreate and oversee the Metro Maryland footprint of donor relationshipCreate and oversee donor experience from beginning to end with the goal of fostering donor trust and donor delightInvestigate and assess the grant writing opportunities to expand the funding resources for MMYFCIf grants are pursued, oversee grant writing and management processes, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and deadlinesTeam Leadership and CollaborationProvide strategic leadership and guidance to the staff team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environmentSet clear goals and expectations, monitor progress, and provide ongoing support and professional development opportunitiesCollaborate with other staff members and stakeholders to align development efforts with organizational priorities and initiativesFinancial Planning and BudgetingWork closely with the ED and Board Finance Lead to develop and manage the annual development budgetMonitor revenue projections, track fundraising progress, and provide regular reports to the leadership team and Board of DirectorsPosition Requirements
