Entry-Level Tax Associate Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Entry-Level Tax Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of diversified transactional tax experience, with a focus on partnership, real estate, and/or corporate tax matters. Preference is given to candidates with experience at an Am Law 200 firm. The role requires excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as a strong academic background. An LL.M. in Taxation is advantageous but not mandatory. Admission to the State Bar of California is required.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with transactional tax matters, including partnership, real estate, and corporate tax issues.Conduct legal research and draft tax-related memoranda, opinions, and other documentation.Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on tax planning and compliance matters.Review, analyze, and negotiate tax-related agreements, contracts, and other documents.Provide support in client communications and tax transaction negotiations.Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and up-to-date advice.Requirements:1-3 years of diversified transactional tax experience.Experience in partnership, real estate, and/or corporate tax work.Am Law 200 law firm experience is preferred.High level of academic achievement.LL.M. in Taxation is helpful but not required.Admission to the State Bar of California.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Strong academic performance with a focus on tax law.Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of California.Skills:Excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in drafting and reviewing tax-related documents.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.
