We’re searching for an experienced finance leader to lead our Strategic Finance and FP&A team.
In this role, you will
Lead a high performing Finance team, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer
Prepare the organization for P&L segment reporting as a revenue generating company, as we commercialize our product for rapid, capital efficient growth achieving high margins
Key areas of responsibility will include:
FP&A;
budgets, forecasting, management reporting, and business analytics
Treasury;
managing existing liquidity cash flow and executing fundraising strategies
Strategic Risk (Insurance);
operations, workplace and commercialization
Strategic Finance;
long-term financial plans, target setting, and purchasing
Work across all areas of the business to enhance the financial and business acumen for all leaders; become a trusted partner to achieve targets and identify risks and opportunities
Drive continuous improvement and simplification of our financial processes, including planning and implementation of new reporting tools
Mentor and guide team members to ensure their professional growth
Hands-on as well as strategic; we need leaders who are willing and able to operate at all levels
Required Qualifications
15+ years of relevant financial experience, with increasing scope and responsibility
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline
Exceptional proven experience in driving, identifying and acting on financial insights
Prior experience leading, developing, and growing a high-performing finance team
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to tell a story with numbers
Experience leading both FP&A or core finance function (i.e., product development, purchasing)
Demonstrated success in driving process improvement and automation in a finance function
Ability to build strong relationships and influence technical, business, and operational decisions
Experience developing and implementing KPIs to drive resource and operational efficiency
Enthusiasm about being a part of Aurora’s mission
Desirable Qualifications
Experience with multiple industries (i.e., Automotive, Logistics, SaaS)
Experience with multiple financial functions (i.e., FP&A, Purchasing, Manufacturing)
Experience sourcing, selecting and implementing new financial planning tools or ERP systems
MBA, CFA, or CPA (or international equivalent)
Experience interacting with Investment Banks, Research Analysts, and Board members
The base salary range for this position is $350,000 - $375,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
