Network Manager | Ripple Fiber

We are looking for a Network Manager to join our growing team and support our North Carolina markets. This role will be based in Charlotte but requires regular travel to other markets.

About the role

The Network Manager will oversee the design, implementation, and management of our fiber optic network infrastructure to ensure it delivers optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.

Responsibilities:

Manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.

Develop and implement network infrastructure plans to support company growth and customer demands.

Oversee the deployment of fiber optic cables and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Work closely with engineering, operations, and customer support teams to align network strategies with business goals.

Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment procurement, installation, and maintenance.

Monitor network performance metrics, including bandwidth utilization, latency, and packet loss.

Conduct regular network performance assessments, capacity planning, and technology evaluations to recommend upgrades, expansions, and enhancements to meet growing network demands.

Collaborate with our engineering team to enhance network efficiency and reliability.

Implement and enforce policies and procedures for installing and maintaining fiber optic equipment.

Plan and manage installation and repair projects.

Train and develop staff.

Qualifications:

At least 6-8 years of field experience in network management, with a strong understanding of fiber optic technology and network protocols.

2+ years of supervisory experience.

Microsoft Office Suite experience.

Deep understanding of internet service provider network technologies and best practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Travel Requirements:

Up to 75% travel.

Must be able to travel from Charlotte to Pinehurst and Outer Banks a minimum of one week per month.
