The rapidly expanding Health Finance Coalition is seeking to hire an Associate to join our team. The Associate will support transaction construction, global financing platforms, and strategic exploration of new opportunities. A successful candidate enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; is an entrepreneurial self-starter; and is comfortable bringing structure to ambiguous problems. Strong verbal and written communication skills will allow you to interact with our team across multiple countries and time zones. Your flexibility and can-do attitude will enable you to lend support where needed and your strong organizational and multi-tasking skills will allow you to contribute to multiple projects. In such a small team, you will have an active voice and be a thought partner on a range of issues. HFC offers stretch opportunities to staff at all levels and looks to support you as you take risks and try new things. Using your strong foundation in finance, you will quickly understand HFC’s various projects and your strength in developing presentations, problem solving, modeling, and synthesis of information will enable you to contribute quickly. The relatively flat nature of HFC’s team and the variety and number of projects offer a high performer the opportunity to quickly assume more responsibility and gain exposure to our partners. Financial Modeling, Presentations, and Client DeliverablesConsistently collect large amounts of information, and analyze, structure, and present information with a cohesive and compelling narrativeBuild integrated financial models and perform financial analysis including stress-testing, scenario analysis, capital structure, valuations, etc.Conduct comprehensive market, product, and competitive research and analysis to support client decision-making and strategy developmentDevelop problem-solving frameworks and other methodologies to build arguments and convey informationDevelop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project deliveryPrepare client deliverables, including capital structure analysis, strategy presentations, transaction marketing materials, research documents, and financial modelsSupport development of pipeline opportunities, relationships with partners and contracts supporting pipeline developmentDevelop tools to track pipeline and transaction construction contactsNew Concept DevelopmentSupport ideation of new funds and financing platformsIterate on potential ideas and develop details and contents to support ideasBusiness Development and FundraisingConduct research and prepare proposals and conference presentationsDraft various pitch decks and other external facing documents like client deliverables and conference presentationsContribute to the knowledge base of the team and improvement of internal processes and toolsOccasionally work with other teams within HFC and MNM, for example on proposal development or financial modeling tasksProject manage, including participation in and documentation of calls with clients and investors, managing due diligence processes, maintaining data rooms, etc.Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years analytical or business experience in the investments/financing landscapeAbility to handle ambiguity, think strategically, and work efficiently in a fast-paced, multicultural environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare compelling presentations and written reportsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative or financial modeling skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and drive forward work independentlyAvailable for 20% international travel to client locations and other MNM / HFC officesEnglish language fluency, both written and verbalAdvantagesExperience in corporate finance, equity research, investment banking, or sales and tradingExperience working in developing countries or working on global health issues (e.g. malaria, HIV/AIDS, TB, and/or maternal and child health programs)Experience working remotely with a decentralized teamProfessional French, Spanish, or Portuguese a plusAbout the Health Finance Coalition
