The RoleAs a Senior Software Engineer on the API Infra team at Alchemy, you’ll be focused on building an API layer that’s infinitely scalable, highly reliable, and highly performant. It’s a unique opportunity combining the most challenging engineering problems, crypto-forward exposure, and direct customer impact.What You'll Do:Design, build and maintain highly scalable and reliable infrastructure, APIs, and servicesContribute and lead system design discussions, stand-up meetings, and code reviewsDevelop and own best practices for backend infrastructure with a focus on high throughput, high reliability, and low latencyWrite stable, high coverage test cases for features you shipDebug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stackCollaborate with other engineers, technical leaders, product managers, and designerWhat We're Looking For:5+ years of relevant industry experienceBS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalentExperience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining core backend software components (experience with API platforms a plus)Ability to solve complex design, scaling, latency, or performance problems in high-throughput, low-latency systems in productionProduction experience with Java, Golang, C++ or similarExperience in Cloud Native environments, particularly in AWSExperience with managed Kubernetes layers like AWS EKS a plusSelf-starter attitude and the ability to execute new ideas with autonomyKnow how to find the right balance between perfection and shipping quicklyFounded a company or built side projects, a plusExperience in startups, a plusMore on The RoleAlchemy is committed to offering competitive compensation, including base salary as well as equity. Additionally, Alchemy offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as other benefits such as 401k and unlimited flexible time off.The base salary range for this position is estimated to be between $135,000 - $350,000 annually. Please note this range reflects base salary only, and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Your salary will be determined by various factors, including relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business needs.
